PVAc is widely used in furniture and interior wood products. Despite their limited water resistance, different grades of varied water resistance are available such as D1 to D4 as classified by EN204/205.
EPI originates from Japan and it is a 2 component system giving excellent strengths capable of passing boiling tests and are commonly used as glues for interior as well as structural wood products. Aica formulates a host of adhesvies for wood edge lamination, formbent, parquet and other applications, be it cold pressing, hot pressing or radio frequency pressing.
NAF is usually a 3 or more component systems that offers good bonding at a competitve cost in comparison with EPIs. One key advantage is also the longer assembly time it can tolerate. Systems that can stretch to 2hrs of total assembly times are now a reality. This benefits many plywood mills with manual and slow processes to produce formaldehyde-free products economically.
Our hot melt range serves many industries such as edge banding, profile wrapping, packaging, book binding, car headlamps, etc. Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, Metallocene Polyolefin and Butyl based types are available for your selection.

1 component PU adhesive with slow or fast curing speeds are available for structural and interior wood products. Besides, PU adhesives are also applied on shoes soles which may be water or solvent based. These adhesives may be toluene-free and certified to JAIA F**** and 4VOC . We are also certified for use on famous brands like NIKE-RSL and Adidas A-01.
Solvent based CR adhesives are commonly used as general purpose applications like adhering wood or High Pressure Laminate to wood or other substrates. For health safety options, BTX (Benzene, Toluene and Xylene) free formulations are readily available. We also produce state-of-the-art water based environmentally friendly adhesives like Green Tack for gluing foam, mattresses, HPL to wood and furniture.
A diverified range of adhesives are available for many industries, spanning from Plywood, Laminated Veneer Lumber, Cross Laminated Timber, Oriented StrandBoard, Decorative surfaces, Abrasives, Foundry, Insulation, Foam, Filters, Textile felt, Friction, Refractory, Composite materials, MDF, PB to Phenolic Surface Films; many of which are well regarded by our customers for their supreme performance and quality. Where extreme emission is paramount, our AsWood resin can be used for MDF and PB which emits no more formaldehyde than natural wood.
MFs are used for impregnation of papers due to their excellent properties like clarity or transparency, impregnation speeds by virtue of its low molecular condensates, moisture resistance and hardness when cured. Our production controls are very stringent to ensure such resins are produced with utmost clarity and quality to assure our customers make the best possible papers, as such semi-cured papers are finally laid on wood panels to give a smooth and blemish-free surface finish. They are also used on the top layers of High Pressure Laminates and compact boards.
Melamine is known to impart moisture resistance to the Urea Formaldehyde resins. However, the way melamine is incorporated to get the best efficiency out of it is a proprietory art. In Aica, we have developed a full range of resins for the various emission and moisture resistant classes in accordances to JIS, JAS, NZ, AS, CN, EN, ASTM, CARB, etc. Depending on your plant needs, we can vary resin characteristics to give you troublefree runs with high quality and consistency. Some specialised resins are developed to meet requirements that include Fire Retardant MDF, AS/NZ Class 1 Flooring, JIS M-Type, F**** or SE0 MDF/PB/Plywood.
When cost effectiveness is the focus rather than performance, we formulate highly efficient glue without melamine and with minimal additives. This 'Just Enough' resins are made even more efficient in conjunction with our process efficiency, which we take pride of in using modern control instrumentation.
We are proud to be the industry leader supplying these specialised powder systems for parquet flooring and formbent, veneering, board-on-frame, paper lamination and furniture assembly. Typically, these consist of 3 components - Resin, Modifier and Hardener. Based on customer process and requirements, we can mix and match and tailor systems accordingly. In this way, we optimise for each customer to meet their specific requirements, be it emission, bonding or cost. One-shot powders which have modifier and hardener incorporated are also available for your convenience and choice.
